  1. Liam Gladdy Says:

I think my favourite work when it comes to typography has to be a website i developed for an Photographer at http://www.merryp.co.uk.

It’s kinda simple, but i think that works well :)

Really wanted to get this magazine, but they were sold out before i heard about it :(

  2. Daniel Hutchinson Says:

  3. Serge K. Keller Says:

As for me, it must be this poster: http://www.flickr.com/photos/serkel/3228358196/ – we did better things since for our theatre, my wife and I, but boy did I get a kick out of it when the font creator, Jos Buivenga of exljbris fame (http://www.josbuivenga.demon.nl/) noticed and liked it!

In our small way, we were pleased to have achieved something in return for his wonderful font creations.

  4. Areus Says:

Been wanting to get my hands on one of those!

This looks great. I saw the post on Twitter, and thought I’d take part. I’m always looking for new type inspiration, and there’s nothing like having something tangible, like this book, to stoke the design-fire even more. Enjoy:

The word “Haiti” is a slightly tweaked version of Knockout and the word “Help” is hand-drawn. Hope that counts. :)

I love typography and I was gutted to have missed out on getting a copy of 8 faces. I think my best work showcasing typography is the set of endangered type animals that I created recently. Included in project there is a set of type designs which I used to to create 38 page book, a game with cut out wooden pieces and a wooden display board where I lasered my type designs into.

Below is the link to the wooden display board. Links to other photos of this work are below the image too.

    I ♥ Type

  37. Richard Tape Says:

It’s only a ‘holding page’ but I’m hoping it’s relatively indicative of what’s to come on the site in the near(ish) future:

    http://iamfriendly.com/

Lots of lovely @font-face action and some css 3 transitions for those browsers capable of showing them (hover over the ‘card’)

  38. John Ankarström Says:

Well, I haven’t made any website showcasing typography, really, even if I could, but let’s say http://jocap.se/ does.

  39. Tom Radburn Says:

Missed out on 8faces hardcopy so here goes! (loved it anyway on the PDF) but its not the same!

  51. J-P Teti Says:

I don’t want to win one as I was one of the few people who was able to purchase a copy, but I just wanted to say that anyone who isn’t sure they want to enter really should. As someone who has a copy, I promise you that it’s absolutely fantastic.
