Wow! 1.2 has made a huge difference! My account center is now way faster and more responsive than before and my pages are loading much quicker. I Really appreciate all the work this must have taken.

Has the upgrade been completed? I haven’t seen any further mention of this apart from the delay in the MySQL Containers.

[…] I really want to like Media Temple. I have friends that have been with them a couple years and love them. I’ve been there about 3 months just testing the waters. I moved my client access project management site there, and a group project based on Drupal and using subversion to keep from walking all over each other. First couple of weeks smooth as glass. After that, sluggish, lost mysql connections. These are the guys that host Nike and Starbucks among others. Granted, they aren’t on the poormans Gridserver I’m on, but still, there’s a reputation there. This place looked like the perfect place to do Ruby on Rails. You have an isolated container to run your apps, they have Mongrel so you don’t have to use FastCGI. Yup, it would be heaven if wasn’t for the awful lag that happens sometimes. I’ve sent and received quite a few emails that start like this. “So are you having problems with MT or is it just me?” Thank God I haven’t moved any client sites over there. Good hosting is really hard to find when you get down to it. I have two excellent ones right now, but neither of them have Ruby capabilities. So tonight was a happy night for myself and I’m sure several others. I received an email with a link to this press release. My fingers crossed, MT may actually have this Gridserver thing figured out. I’m hoping, and so are alot of other people. […]
