WordPress 2.2.1 one-click install is live on the Grid.

The Grid’s one-click WordPress install is now updated to 2.2.1. This one has important security fixes and fine tuning over last month’s 2.2 version. Since our one-click installer is not an updater (it will overwrite your blog), we encourage exisitng WordPress users to check out how to upgrade here.

you guys are fast!! thanks for putting this up so quickly. btw, are you going to update drupal to the 5+ version as well? it has some serious updates that improve speed/performance and the update from the version you’re running requires 2 steps (must update dbase structure first to 5 then again to current, tedious for new installs)…at any rate, thanks.

@Giovanni: We are always on the lookout for cool apps, and we aim to make the ones that are most requested available as one click installs. We have to weigh the customer demand against the difficulty on our end of always keeping things working and up to date. This is great feedback though, thanks very much!

I definitely agree with giovanni. Joomla is an app that you should have for one-click. It is supported by a huge developer community and has very widespread use. Find out more at http://www.joomla.org/content/view/12/26/

Can a one-click install for drupal be added to the dv set-up? Seeing as the cost is more, it doesn’t seem quite fair that the grid server gets drupal, but not the dv. Thanks.
