We’re in the final stages of the Django beta program! We’ve gotten some great feedback so far from developers of all experience levels. Before we officially launch this new product we want to hear from a few more experienced Django developers!

If you’ve already developed a project with Django and you’re actively developing an application, you can test in a Container right now. Please apply for the beta program and share your experiences with us!

We’re excited to announce the launch of the first phase of our Django GridContainer beta program. Django

(mt) would like everyone to welcome their new neighbors; Django.

They’re purveyors of an incredible framework, have excellent musical taste, and are all-around great guys with a dedicated tribe. (mt) is über excited to provide them a fast, new, and spacious, online home. We, like many of you, want Django to grow and this was a perfect opportunity for (mt) to help.

We’ve also posted new beta information, and a sign-up(!), for our eagerly anticipated (mt) Django GridContainer.

So watch ya waiting for? Head over to (mt) labs right now and get your name in the hat.

Django container work underway at (mt)

Updated: Django GridContainer Beta now accepting applications.

Due to increasing popularity and customer demand, our engineering team is working hard on getting a container infrastructure in place on the (gs) Grid-Service platform that will support Django. For those of you who haven’t heard of it, Django is a web application framework implemented in Python that simplifies development and promotes the use of good, clean design principles.

The implementation will be technically similar to our existing RoR containers when completed. There is a fair amount of engineering yet to be done before we are ready for a production release, but we are working as quickly as resources will allow. Stay tuned to this blog for more information on the project as it progresses.
